After a barrage of contact from local politicos regarding our content we would like to remind readers that we are not owned by either party.
We do have a point of view. Hopefully everyone does. If there is a bias, it would be leaning heavily to the taxpayers and voters of Red Hook. We have a lot of sympathy for Independents, we are disgusted by the self-serving "club" that masquerades in the good name of Republicans that we unaffectionately refer to as the GOP,and we are equally disappointed by those Democrats who at their time of strength, seem to be cowering in the shadows, hoping no one will ask what THEY think.
We are here for the benefit of Red Hook's taxpayers and voters. We report our local news and we dig deeper than most. The best way to avoid the spotlight is to get out of politics. Your choice. You do it, we report it.
Our trust for politicians is minimal at best . We have found them mostly very self-serving, And in our nearly 7 years of reporting the longer in office the worse they get, and the less they care about the cost is to the taxpayer for the favors they regularly dole out to their friends.
We invite you to visit both the Democratic site and the Republican site both run by their party members who are professional web designers and find any compelling information about this election. We would love to retire this site but without an outside voice, agreeable or not, we will be reduced to the wall of secrecy we started to dismantle all those years ago.
We do support ANYONE who is looking out for the best interests of the town and will support them in this election.
To our readers. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
We're here for you!
